Crystals, Rhinestones and Studs
Capture everyone’s attention by using your Elnapress to apply any stunning crystal, rhinestone or stud design. Turn “Bland and Blah” into “Astonishing and Ah” fashions. Almost anything made from fabric can be transformed.

What is it that is so appealing about Elnapressing crystals? The large heating shoe consistently applies 100 lbs. of pressure while the crystals sink into the padded surface. And the heating shoe is one solid surface; there are no steam vents (found on hand irons) to interfere in the bonding process. These unique aspects of your Elnapress are the secret behind securely bonding crystals to fabrics. Try it on jackets, pillow tops, jeans, curtains, scarves, guest towels, shoes, leotards and socks, just to name a few. Your fashions will shine with the brilliance of the heavenly stars.

General Instructions:
Launder your fabric to preshrink and remove any sizing. Preheat your Elnapress on wool setting, dry only; do not use the Vap-O-Jet™.

Elnapress Method 1 (Recommended for most applications)

  • Use a Teflon™ sheet or cotton cloth on top of fabric or between layers to prevent any excess glue from adhering to the heating shoe or inside the garment. This is especially important for sheer fabrics.
  • Carefully remove white backing from crystal transfer. Use tweezers to replace any loose crystals.
  • Position crystal transfer on the fabric adhesive side down. Reposition if necessary. Finger press adhesive to fabric.

Hint: For wearing comfort, do not place crystals under foot or above thigh areas.
  • Place fabric with crystal transfer face down onto Elnapress ironing board.
  • Press for a minimum of 20 seconds.
  • Allow crystal transfer to cool for about 2 minutes. Slowly peel back adhesive film. If any crystals have not bonded to fabric, replace film and press again.

Elnapress Method 2
  • Insert a Teflon sheet or cotton cloth between layers to protect garment from any excess glue. This is especially important for sheer fabrics.
  • Place fabric on Elnapress ironing board. Randomly scatter loose crystals on fabric or form a design.
  • Carefully lay a cotton cloth on top of crystals. Press for a minimum of 20 seconds.
  • Allow crystals to cool for about 2 minutes. Test. If any crystals have not bonded to fabric, press again.

    Hint
: When bonding large scale designs, the maximum amount of pressure is exerted in the center of the ironing board
Elnapress Method 3
(Items that cannot be pressed flat, ex. – shoes, flower petals, etc.)
  • Carefully remove white backing from crystal transfer. Use tweezers to replace any loose crystals.
  • Position crystal transfer on the fabric adhesive side down. Reposition if necessary. Finger press adhesive to fabric.
  • Place ironing cushion under crystal transfer and lift crystal transfer up against open heating shoe. Hold transfer firmly against heating shoe for a minimum of 20 seconds.
  • Allow crystal transfer to cool for about 2 minutes. Slowly peel back adhesive film. If any crystals have not bonded to fabric, replace film and press again.

Hint: If the ironing cushion does not fit inside the area to be pressed,
stuff the area with either paper or fabric.

Cleaning
Generally, crystal transfers can be machine-washed at temperatures up to 60°C/140°F or dry-cleaned. (Consult the manufacturer’s instructions.) Turn garments inside out for washing. Air dry only – do not use a dryer.
