Lampshade Cover pdf version Lighting is a vital ingredient for setting the overall mood in a room. A quick way to alter the mood is by “dressing up” your lampshade with a custom made cover featuring brilliant Elnapress crystals. A dazzling accent that will add sparkle and enliven your surroundings. Supplies: - 2 Squares of fabric or 2 table napkins (see Hint below)
- 8 crystals
- Pins
- Fabric marker
- Tape measure
- Scissors
- Thread to match fabric
- Sewing machine
Instructions: - Measure lampshade height and diameter of opening at top. Cut 2 squares of fabric using measurements of lampshade. Example: Lampshade height X 2, add diameter of opening and add hem allowance to equal cut size of squares.
- Hem edges of squares by hand, sewing machine or overlock/serger. Hint: Substitute scarves or table napkins for fabric squares. The advantage is that the edges are already finished. A possible disadvantage is that the size may not fit the lampshade.
- Elnapress crystals into each corner of both squares (crystal transfer instructions).
- Fold squares (table napkins) in quarters, mark center, open squares and lay squares flat.
- Overlay squares (right sides together) with centers matched and corners of squares turned 45 ° to each other, forming 8 points. Pin baste fabrics together.
- Turn lampshade upside down and center top opening over center of squares. Use fabric marker to trace opening of lampshade onto fabric.

- Sew 1 cm (3/8”) inside marked line.
- Cut out fabric located inside stitching. Pull one square through center opening. Press seam. Topstitch seam. Place lampshade cover over lampshade.
